DIY Tree Skirt As Gift Box

Would you like to have one big gift at the bottom of your Christmas tree? How about a tree box instead of the traditional tree skirt? Take a look at the steps used to create this lovely gift at the base of my tree!

cut down to size a cardboard box

When I cut the box flat, I was shocked to see the length was the same length as my fabric! Luck was on my side!
Wrap the fabric around the cardboard
I taped down the fabric to stay in place
It does not have to be perfect. Noone will see the inside of the box once placed around the tree.
Wrap around the base of the tree. Now the hardware, lighting and power wires will all be hidden.
Voila! Works with live trees or artificial trees! Add a ribbon to resemble a present if you like!
